This trek to Neergarh waterfall is most popular amongst trekkers. It is a short walk from Lakshman jhula and around 6 kilometers from Tapovan. The best time to go trekking here is early summer morning, when it is quiet and peaceful, as afternoon could be crowded. You can get in the water which is cold and refreshing, a good and natural way to beat the heat. What better way to getaway from the city buzzes and bathe in the natural spring water. It is bliss!

Located at 1600 meters with the stunning view of the Himalayan peaks, Doon valley and Haridwar, this place is beautiful and serene. The trek is a short one, but worth the experience, you would experience the most beautiful sunrise here, leaving you super energized.

Kunjapuri temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Kunjadevi, a local deity. There are always trekkers and locals that come to this spot all around the year. You can enjoy the local villages, hills and valleys of the Himalayan range throughout the trek.

Neelkanth Mahadev Temple is located at 1330 meters height. It is a famous Lord Shiva temple. According to the legends it is considered to be very holy shrine. Chopta is located in Ukhimath – Gopeshwar road, and stretches from 2000 meters altitude to 4000 meters. It is part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary in Rudraprayag Chamoli district. With beautiful serene Himalayan landscapes it is also known as “mini Switzerland” in India. You can escape your city life in this bliss of nature all round the year. This area of Chopta also is surrounded by diverse and dense forests.

Chandrashila

Tungnath Temple trek

Tungnath is the highest Lord Shiva temple in the world. It is also one of the highest five Kedar temples in the mountain range of Tungnath, which is in Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand, northern region of India. It is a very famous pilgrim center for the Hindu’s. Tungnath literally also means ‘Lord of the peaks’. The trek is very soothing to the eye with a wonderful view around.

  1. Garud and Phool Chatti waterfall Trek

Garud Chatti is another very popular trekking spot; it is around 5 kilometers from Lakshman Jhula, towards the North on the Neelkanth road. A good weekend getaway for many is quite common among the youth. You can carry swimwear in case you want to swim.

Phool Chatti is another 3 kilometers from Garud waterfalls which is also a very scenic site. Although, this is quiet slippery trail so watch out your steps.

  1. Patna waterfall
